Scheduled one of our four escape room games and looking for something to do before your game? Or starving after working hard to escape? There's plenty to do near us and here's a list of the top things to do in Costa Mesa!
1. Be a Foodie
Being locked in a room for 60 minutes can really work up an appetite! There’s a variety of cuisine conveniently located below us: Great Mex Grill for Mexican, Aoki for Japanese ramen, Al Forno for Italian, Mo Pho Mi for Vietnamese food. We often see parties and team building events play in our escape room and host their party downstairs afterwards.
We’re located off of Harbor Blvd which has a lot to offer, including (but not limited to!) Gina’s Pizza and Doria’s Haus of Pizza, Pick Up Stix, Poke Tiki… And further down, there’s the iconic Raising Cane’s and Dave’s Hot Chicken.
2. Enjoy the Arts!
Be swept away in a musical, ballet, theater performance show at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts and next door is the newly built Orange County Museum of Art, with exhibits include traditional paintings, sculptures and photography, as well as new media in the form of video, digital and installation art.
Thirsty for a good time with your team after your escape room? The North OC Craft Brewery Tour can pick you up at your desired location and will introduce you to the craft beer scene up and down Orange County.
Want something even more convenient? Head downstairs for sake at Aoki, wine at Al Forno, margaritas at Great Mex Grill and enjoy their bar and patio areas.
4. Stop, Walk, n’ Shop!
You can get lost in the 250+ stores in the giant mall at South Coast Plaza, only 10 minutes away. The shopping destination also offers a range of food and drinks from dine-in bistros to pressed juice counters.
Trying to ditch the even lighting shopping malls? Drop by The Lab and The Camp, a pair of cozy boho outdoor shopping campuses known as “anti-malls”, located just across the street from each other. This modern gem of CM offers lively dining, a brewery, hip and trendy thrifting, vegan donuts, the famous Boba Guys, and a variety of local vendor stops. Check out their social media for information about their local vendor markets, entertained by live music!
5. Live Entertainment
Check out these theaters and amphitheaters around Costa Mesa for any live events happening:
Pacific Amphitheater, Pacific Symphony, South Coast Repertory Theater, Costa Mesa Playhouse
And of course, there’s always something happening at the OC Fair Grounds, just 5 minutes away from us!
