What is an escape room?

An escape room is a fun and interactive experience where your group will enter a room and find clues, solve puzzles, and escape the room within a certain amount of time (60 minutes). At Legacy Escape Games, our games are highly immersive and nonlinear game which means that multiple puzzles can be solved at different times, requiring everyone to communicate, collaborate, think critically and out of the box. Am I really locked inside the room?

Yes, and no!  You will get out, one way or another…we promise! The game has an emergency exit, however we cannot restart or pause the game if the emergency exit is used.

How much is it?

Monday-Thursday:
2 players: $55 per person
3 players: $47 pp 
4+ players: $39 pp 

Friday-Sunday:
2-3 players: $148 Total (For the Whole Room)
4+ players: $39 pp

No additional fees. Your game is Private (you won't be paired with strangers). 

How early should I arrive for my game? ​

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled ticket time to fill out your waiver, use the bathroom, and listen to tips and a safety speech. Games will begin exactly at their start times and we want you to have the full 60 minutes inside the game! 

Is there an age limit?

We welcome all ages! However, please keep in mind that puzzles are designed for ages 13 and up. Regardless of age, all participants must have a ticket and need to sign a waiver. Participants may fill out the waiver agreement here.

If under the age of 18, a parent/guardian must sign a waiver in advance or be present to sign. You can download a  waiver here and bring it with you at the time of your game or fill it out online here.

Where are you located and where should i park?

Parking is free and available on site.
We're located off of Harbor Blvd. and Mesa Verde Drive. Also, around the corner from OC Fairgrounds and Orange Coast College. 

CAN my group purchase tickets individually?

Yes, give us a call to purchase your tickets individually. To hold your reservation time for your group, one ticket needs to be purchased initially and then you can have each person in your group give us a call to purchase their ticket individually, (949)335-9677.

is it possible to play with just my friends?

Our escape game is private, so you can enjoy the game with your group and only your group! We will never pair you with strangers. We're the only private escape room in Costa Mesa! Book your game here.

Can i host a corporate group or special event at Legacy Escape Rooms?

Absolutely! We welcome you to host your corporate team building event, bachelor/bachelorette party and birthday celebration event at Legacy Escape Rooms. We also restaurants beneath us that offer special food packages for our groups and have patio areas to celebrate your event before/after playing at our escape room. For private events, reservation inquiries, scheduling outside our normal business hours, and information on food packages, please contact us at (949)335-9677 or contact us here to make special arrangements.  ​

Can i bring more people than capacity listed to the game?

We will try to accommodate your group size. Please call us to make arrangements for additional players, (949)335-9677. ​Everyone will need a ticket. 

Is it possible to reschedule or cancel my reservation?

All sales are final, we do not issue refunds. You may transfer or reschedule your booking with a 48 hour notice to your reservation time. To reschedule your reservation, please call us at (949)335-9677 or email us at [email protected] 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time. There is a $60 rescheduling fee. 

What if i'm unsure the number of people in my group?

We recommend making a reservation for the number of people that are confirmed for your group, as we don't give refunds. This way you'll know you have your game and time reserved! You can always add additional players to your reservation at our venue or can also call us as well.  

can i  fill out a waiver prior to my reservation?

Participants may fill out our Waiver and Release Agreement online here. For a speedy check-in, we also recommend forwarding this link to everyone participating in your reservation. You can also download a  waiver here and bring it with you at the time of your game.

ANY TIPS OR SUGGESTIONS?

• Teamwork makes the Dreamwork. Share clues and discuss with your team new information found in the room. Communication is key!
• Follow the rules. Our Team of Master Decoders will review the rules of the game with you before you begin your game, this includes:
  1. None of our games require the use of force. If an item is secured or glued down, it’s meant to be. There’s no need for lifting heavy objects or climbing on top of furniture.
  2. Don’t guess random combinations on locks, pick locks, or use force to break it open. With the right combination, it’ll open easily!
  3. Cell phones and other electronic devices must remain off and cannot be used inside the room. We have a place for you to safely secure your items before starting the game.
  4. If you break something, the Game Master will stop and end the game to ensure the safety of all participants. 
• No alcohol or influence of drugs. Your safety and the safety of others is our first priority. We will not be able to let you into the game if we suspect you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
