Once the clock’s ticking, efficiency is going to play a big role in your team’s success. In your escape room, your team will have 60 minutes to solve all your clues and escape before your time runs out. So how can you ensure you all make it out with time to spare? Here's 3 ways to maximize your time in an escape room... Let’s split up and look for clues!
Everyone on your team will naturally fall into roles. For examples of what types to look out for, or what role you might play, check out our blog post on personality types in an escape room! Identify who’s the strongest candidate for leader and let them divide up the tasks in the room to the rest of the team. The more ground covered, the better. Sharing is Caring After you’ve delegated tasks, it’s important to still keep the whole team in the loop. If players aren’t on the same page, you may find yourself running in circles, reusing clues or working on puzzles that have already been solved. The Path of Least Resistance - don't over think it! To avoid wasting time on dead ends, stay away from the outlandish and overly complex paths to solving a puzzle. Chances are, the solution is usually the simplest version. Eliminate the implausible paths, and if something feels out of place for you, communicate with your team to see if they’ve noticed something similar in other areas of the game. If you’re really stuck, there’s no harm in asking for a hint from your Game Master! Your Game Master is your teammate! Now that you're equipped with some tips, plan your immersive escape room here.
